About Us

Who is Hope on the road?

Hope on the road is a registered German non-profit (gGmbH) founded in 2025 by Mark and Susanne Suer. Mark regularly travels to Buhoma to accompany the project personally and ensure that help arrives directly.

In 2026 we purchased land in Buhoma and built HopeKitchen – a community kitchen that now feeds up to 120 children every day with warm meals. We also provide homework support and a safe environment for them to grow. Whether you are here for gorilla trekking or exploring the Bwindi region, a visit to HopeKitchen fits perfectly into any itinerary.

What Makes This Different?

Most safaris show wildlife.
We open the door to real life.

Your guests experience a real community project first-hand – they see where children eat, learn and play. They leave with stories, connections and a deeper understanding of Uganda beyond the wildlife.

“You show your guests the beauty of Uganda. We let them experience the heart of its community.”
